Neighbors, get into this story. A woman and a 5-year-old boy drowned Saturday afternoon in the backyard pool of former LA Dodger Carl Crawford’s home.
According to Chron News, Houston Police and Fire departments were called around 2:40 p.m. on reports of a drowning at a home on the 1400 block of Mansfield in north Houston.
The house is owned by Carl Crawford, a former baseball player for the Tampa Bay Rays and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
A 5-year-old boy was swimming in a pool on the property when he started having trouble breathing, and a 25-year-old woman jumped in to try to save the boy, said Jodi Silva, a Houston Police spokeswoman.
The woman and boy were unresponsive when they were transported to Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital, Silva said. They were later declared dead, Silva said.
